My name is Jennifer Butler, and I’m the founder of Inner Journey Recovery, an independent living program dedicated to supporting women in recovery. With nearly a decade of experience in the behavioral health field, I’ve developed a deep understanding of both the personal and systemic aspects of recovery.
I began my career as a Behavioral Health Technician, where I learned the importance of compassionate, hands-on care. As I advanced to Case Manager, I gained valuable experience coordinating treatment plans and connecting clients with essential resources. Along the way, I became a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and a Certified Recovery Coach, which allowed me to provide even more direct support to individuals in recovery, sharing lived experiences and offering guidance based on both professional training and personal insight.
Most recently, I served as Operations Director at a treatment center, where I oversaw daily operations and ensured the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care. This role helped me refine my leadership skills and deepen my understanding of how to sustain impactful recovery programs.
Inner Journey Recovery was born from my passion for helping women rebuild their lives and achieve long-term sobriety. I am confident that my diverse experience and commitment to recovery uniquely equip me to lead this program with both empathy and effectiveness, fostering a safe, supportive environment for lasting recovery.
My name is Michelle Parent, and at 44, I have emerged from a 25-year journey through the shadows of active addiction, marked by trauma and mental health struggles. In my quest for healing, I discovered my profound passion for helping others. Now, with two years of sobriety under my belt, I proudly serve as the Housing Director at Inner Journey Recovery. I strive to remain teachable, nurturing a steadfast willingness to extend my hand to any woman in need.
Your support and contributions will enable us keep serving our community and helping women in their own inner journey! We at Inner Journey Recovery are a 501(c)(3) orginazation. Thank you!
